COMMUNITY RESPONSE CENTRAL NAVIGATION | FAMILIES 1ST PARTNERSHIP

Connects youth and families with resources and support. Navigators have the ability to "fill gaps", either through helping agencies partner around a common goal, or through flexible funding for needs such as rent, utilities, transportation, and more.

Limited funding sometimes available for vehicle repair, minor home repairs and dental work.

Community Response is designed to reduce unnecessary involvement of child welfare and juvenile justice while increasing the informal and community supports for youth and families. By utilizing Central Navigation, the goal is to coordinate existing resources and match participants with a resource to either solve an immediate need or develop a longer-term coaching relationship.

TEMPORARY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE | GREATER COMMUNITY AIDS PROJECT OF EAST CENTRAL ILLINOIS

Offers emergency assistance for past due rent, utilities, medical co-pays, health and work-related transportation costs. Program must be the last resort, and the amount of assistance is limited. Services may also include access up to 50 pounds of food. All items must be for personal household consumption.

EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE | MORE CENTER

Provides basic life necessities that helps keep clients in their homes.

MORE is not able to provide unlimited funds to anyone; however, it is available to provide advice and, if available, some funds to those facing eviction or utility shut-offs. The MORE Center is also a facilitator for Salvation Army assistance.

Those facing eviction or utility shut-off (gas, electric) may visit the MORE Center during regular hours to receive an application. Must provide proof of residence, all family income, 5 day notice to vacate or utility shut-off notice, social security number, and any other pertinent documentation. A case worker will call back to evaluate immediate needs and advise on a course of action.

RENT ASSISTANCE THROUGH TENANT BASED RENTAL ASSISTANCE (TBRA) PROGRAM | EAST CENTRAL INTERGOVERNMENTAL ASSOCIATION

Provides rental assistance for affordable, decent, safe & sanitary housing to qualifying families that have a "disabled" person living in the household. The families must be on the EIRHA Section 8 HCV waiting list and have a disabled person living in the household in order to qualify and be at or below 60% CMI. The program provides gap assistance to families that are waiting for a Section 8 HCV.
