CHILDREN AT HOME | EVERYSTEP

Offers help to families caring for a child with a disability by providing financial assistance for items or services not covered by other programs. Contact an Intake and Referral Specialist with any questions as to whether an item/service is allowable. Examples include special adaptive devices, out-of-area travel expenses, nutritional supplements, respite care or educational seminars for caregivers, special camps and items to make your home safe or more accessible for your child.

MEDASSIST PROGRAM | CATHOLIC CHARITIES - DIOCESE OF SPRINGFIELD

Staff help individuals determine their eligibility and assist their applications for the programs that the pharmaceutical companies have for the uninsured/under-insured. Also offers additional assistance with immediate medication costs/co-pays, depending on the situation.

Connects youth and families with resources and support. Navigators have the ability to "fill gaps", either through helping agencies partner around a common goal, or through flexible funding for needs such as rent, utilities, transportation, and more.

Limited funding sometimes available for vehicle repair, minor home repairs and dental work.

Community Response is designed to reduce unnecessary involvement of child welfare and juvenile justice while increasing the informal and community supports for youth and families. By utilizing Central Navigation, the goal is to coordinate existing resources and match participants with a resource to either solve an immediate need or develop a longer-term coaching relationship.

TEMPORARY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE | GREATER COMMUNITY AIDS PROJECT OF EAST CENTRAL ILLINOIS

Offers emergency assistance for past due rent, utilities, medical co-pays, health and work-related transportation costs. Program must be the last resort, and the amount of assistance is limited. Services may also include access up to 50 pounds of food. All items must be for personal household consumption.

Can assist, when funding is available, eligible individuals and families with limited resources in need of help with past due or disconnected utilities, past due rent or mortgage, emergency medical and/or dental services, costs to engage in Mental Health services, costs to maintain or gain internet or phone access, transportation, vehicle repairs, swim lessons, seasonal swim passes, and costs associated with participation in extracurricular activities.

**While some costs may be covered under Federal funding sources, the Crisis Assistance program is largely funded by grants and donations. All Assistance identified above is dependent on available funding.

BASIC NEEDS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM | AGING RESOURCES OF CENTRAL IOWA

Basic Needs Assistance Program is designed to meet the emergency needs of low-income individuals age 60 or over. Funds are available for material aid: for emergency needs such as rent payment assistance, utility bills, eyeglasses, prescription medications, and minor home repairs. The limit for a request is $400 every 2 years. If a service or funds are available elsewhere the assistance will not be approved until all resources have been explored. Assistance can only be issued when funding is available.
