USDA Meal Program, nutrition education, gardening

Adolescent pregnancy 4-component prevention program for girls 9-18 years old.

Pathfinders Mentoring Program matches girls, ages 5-16, with professional women in the Omaha business community to work on academic and personal goals. Scholarships may be awarded at the end of the successful completion of high school and the Pathfinders program.

TYPING CLUB | DES MOINES PUBLIC LIBRARY

Provides tax forms, fax, copy, scanning, laminating, and CD/DVD cleaning services. Search local obituaries and high school yearbooks on site. Laser cutter, heat press, and mug press available for free use; training available.

Reading at Home (RAH) door delivery program for homebound.

Activities include summer reading program, preschool story time, Library Beats program for toddlers, Friday Friends Playgroup on the second and fourth Fridays of the month for children birth to 5 years, bingo on the third Wednesday of the month for any ages, needlecraft club, monthly adult programs, and other special programs. Family craft days, family board game nights, video gaming, Anime Club, Lego Club, teen book club, D and D Club, Saturday morning cartoons, Trading Card Club, and other activities for youth and adults.

HOMEBOUND PROGRAM | OMAHA PUBLIC LIBRARY

Home delivery of materials for those with a physical impairment which prohibits them from visiting the library. The library will mail the items with a receipt showing the date by which the items should be returned and a return mailing label will be enclosed.
