Senior Care Options program available to older Nebraskans who are considering admission to a nursing home and may be eligible for Medicaid assistance. Clients are screened according to a standardized assessment process developed by the Department of Health and Human Services.

Care Managers arrange for services, which allow older adults to live as independently as possible, for as long as possible.

Housekeeping and supportive services to include grocery shopping, cleaning, laundry, transportation and personal care.

Family Caregiver Support for those caring for an aging adult or grandparents caring for a minor child. Provides information, assistance, support group, respite care, and supplemental services.

Home delivered meals are provided to homebound by reason of illness, disability or isolation. The meals meet 1/3 of the daily dietary recommended needs of adults 60 years and over and the requirements of the Older Americans Act and state and local laws.

Public benefit services, legal assistance, education, Medicare filing, and volunteer training through SHIIP.

Provides free and confidential services. Services offered include pregnancy testing, pregnancy counseling, limited ultrasound, on-going pregnancy support, referrals for community support services, support after an abortion, Earn While You Learn Program, fatherhood mentoring programs, and Mother's/Maternity Home.

Offers the Veterans family support network, which channels requests for any type of assistance including financial to Legion Posts throughout the United States. Callers are advised to give their home zip code and a call-back telephone number where they can be reached.

Provides comprehensive services for families in need. Services include intake assessment, information about community resources, case management, outreach, food stamp application assistance, housing education, emergency food and shelter help.

Connects pregnant women or couples, and parents of children ages 0-5, to free family support services.

All services are provided by family support specialists who want to listen, offer knowledgeable advice, and help with resources for parenting success. Every family is approached without judgment and focus on connecting families to the right support services that build confidence in raising healthy, happy kids.

Offers various support services to families through a cooperative of area churches. Trained volunteers and staff work with parents facing chronic stress or crisis to find resources and supports than can help. The following three services are offered with volunteers from local churches:

Crisis Child Hosting: Temporary care of vulnerable children to give parents a safe option during a crisis.

Child Respite Hosting: Hosting children for shorter periods (typically a few hours to a few days a couple of times a month). This provides parents with respite relief and allows for stabilization.

Parent Advocate: Building 1:1 relationship/friendship with parents through parent advocacy. Parents would be connected with a TFG advocate with the goal of developing a relationship/friendship to decrease isolation and increase support for the parent.

A program designed to provide community-based services that will meet the needs of individuals with brain injuries and help prevent unnecessary institutionalization.

Provides refugee parents with early childhood development education and support in their native language. Program also works to increase opportunities for family engagement with schools and service providers, increase enrollment and support of refugee children in preschool and kindergarten, and help teachers and school staff better understand refugee parents.

Navigators consist of a select group of parents from different ethnic groups from Burma who build their knowledge, skills and confidence through ongoing training, one-on-one mentorship and peer support. Parent Navigators share their knowledge with fellow parents in culturally-relevant and linguistically-appropriate learning circles.

Services provided by a navigator include interpretation services for parent-teacher conferences, home visits and fall orientation, wrap-around services and support, monthly community learning circles, cultural presentations, educational videos, preschool and kindergarten enrollment, and parent education workshops.

Offers service coordination for persons with developmental disabilities. Provides life span individual service coordination and assists the individual and family by conducting a pre-screening to determine need, building relationships with staff, case coordination/management, finding specialized services for individuals with disabilities, and information and referral.
